Our simple but magical formula for an unforgettable night out is to combine great films, amazing spaces, lots of hot tubs and just add water.
Our guiding mantra here at Hot Tub HQ is that we don’t just watch films, we celebrate them. We encourage you to dress up, sing, dance, drink, play and most of all enjoy your favourite films, alongside friends old and new. Oh, and did we mention you do all this in a hot tub?
You can book a whole tub to share with six or eight of your nearest and dearest, or you can buy a pair or more tickets to share with others and make a few new friends along the way. Every tub has one of our delightful tub waiters, to service your every whim, need and desire (within reason).
As the first event in the world to combine hot tubs and cinema for the viewing public, HTC evolved from a private party with one hot tub eight years ago. The first public Hot Tub Cinema screening was on 7th July 2012. Since then the event has grown to include up to 30 hot tubs, two screens and a bespoke surround-sound system, creating the (un)official eighth wonder of the world.
So all this begs the question – why are you still reading this? Shouldn’t you be grabbing your tickets before they sell out faster than Johnny Rotten in a butter commercial?

Q. When is the next event
Q. Where is it?
A. As a pop up event, Hot Tub Cinema doesn’t have a single permanent location. Instead we screen in a variety of exciting spaces across the UK and internationally. We operate all year round and move according to the season. In the spring and summer months we are usually outdoors (rooftops, courtyards, parks, etc) and in the autumn and winter months we move to more sheltered indoor locations. Check the events calendar and your ticket information for specific location information as well as directions to venues for a particular show.
Q. Where can I buy tickets?
A. You can buy tickets on the events section of this website. If the events are sold out, subscribe to our email and social media channels as we will announce if there are any further ticket releases to sold-out shows, as well as letting you know about future events you can attend instead.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Each event is priced according to a number of factors such as the venue. Tickets include access to our hot tubs, film screening and post-movie entertainment. Prices will vary so please check the specific details for each event on our events calendar.
Q. Can I get a refund on my ticket
A. Unfortunately we cannot process refunds, however we do encourage people to sell any tickets they are unable to use on to friends and other Hot Tub Cinema fans. If you do sell on a ticket this way, do email us to let us know. You can also email us at email@example.com if you are trying to sell a ticket to a sold out show as we sometimes have inquiries from people looking to buy tickets.
On The Night
Q. Is there a (minimum) age limit?
A. We are a fully licensed event and our door security enforce an over 18’s policy. You may be asked for ID if you are lucky enough to appear under the age of 21.
Q. What do I bring?
A. For the light packers: Swim-wear, a towel, a warm cover-up and flip flops for toilet trips, money for drinks and food, a plastic bag for wet items after the screening and a sense of adventure! For the pros, the above plus: a camera (waterproof for the very prepared!), fun headwear (hats, wigs, etc) to wear in your tub, inflatables or other aquatic novelties and curiosities.
Q. What if it rains?
A. During the summer most of our screenings are outdoors and open to the elements. Occasionally, this can mean dealing with the great British climate. All our events go ahead whatever the weather. We always ensure there are some sheltered areas before and after the screening, and during the film you’re going to be in a hot tub filled with 40C water… so there’s no better place to be during a summer shower!
Q. Is there food & drink available? Is it BYO?
A. As the event is fully licensed, only alcohol and other refreshments purchased at the bar can be consumed on the premises, so guests are not permitted to BYO. We also have a range of food, snacks and popcorn available. We are pleased to provide waiter service direct to the hot tubs (meaning you don’t have to leave the comfort of the 40C water to replenish refreshments).
Q. Are there changing rooms? Where do I leave my stuff?
A. There are male and female changing rooms, and we operate a cloakroom where you can leave your clothes and other belongings once you have changed. There is limited space in the cloakroom, so please bring limited baggage. Whilst all due care is taken owners leave their belongings in the cloakroom at their own risk.
Q. It’s my birthday and we have tickets. Can you do something special!?
A. We love rocking birthdays at Hot Tub Cinema! If you purchase more than one tub we can make sure you are placed together, just email firstname.lastname@example.org once you have booked your tickets. You can pre-purchase chilled prosecco or champagne receptions when initially buying your tickets, and these can be redeemed on arrival at the event. Our MC can also give you a shout-out on the night as well, simply inform one of our staff members, or email in advance.
Q. Should I dress up?
A. Many of our events are themed, and we encourage our guests to dress up accordingly. However, do bear in mind that you’ll be in your tub for most of the evening so fancy dress options are limited. In the past attendees have worn wigs, hats, arm-bands and creative swim-wear.
Q. Where are the photos from the event I attended?
A. A selection of photos from the night will be available on our Facebook page as soon as possible after the event. Hot Tub Cinema can be a very difficult environment for photography so unfortunately many photos from the night have to be discarded due to a lack of clarity or general quality (hot tub steam is our nemesis). We provide a ‘dry box’ next to each hot tub for you to store your own cameras and phones, but items are stores at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any water damage.
Q. Can I hire Hot Tub Cinema for my private event (i.e. Birthday)?
A. Due to the significant costs involved with putting on a large-scale production such as Hot Tub Cinema (including several days to setup and pack down) generally we only host private events as part of a wider run of scheduled shows. In this scenario the private hire cost reflects the equivalent ticket revenue for that night (typically £3000-5000).
A lower cost way of celebrating special occasions is to book several private tubs on one of our scheduled nights. We are always happy to ensure the tubs would be grouped together. Either way we’ll make sure you celebrate the night in style!
Q. Can I hire Hot Tub Cinema for a corporate event / film screening etc?
A. Yes, we have provided the Hot Tub Cinema experience for a range of large private events, film premieres, film shoots and corporate parties (typically 10+ tubs). Costs will vary upon location, size of the event and other factors. Please get in touch via the contact page to discuss options.
